Discover hidden corners of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park flying above its tranquil waterways with Fliteschool Sydney. Their ‘fliteboards’ are electric hydrofoil surfboards that let you carve gentle wakes while you glide quietly across the water, gaining elevation as you pick up speed.

You’ll set out from the Empire Marina Bobbin Head on a scenic boat trip to find the ideal location to take flight. During the 2-hour lesson, you’ll learn how to mount and manoeuvre these unique foil boards, as well as hydrofoiling theory, choosing suitable locations, safety, and pre-flite checklists.

You don’t need any experience, but you should be able to swim 10 metres with ease. Some riders become water-gliding wizards in minutes, but no matter how quickly your skills progress, you’ll be having a blast in a superb natural setting.

You can book into small group lessons or customise a private tour. All surfing and safety gear is provided, but it’s a good idea to bring drinking water, sunscreen and a hat on top of your swimmers.

Fliteschool Sydney is a licensed commercial tour operator with a Parks Eco Pass.
