Led by an Aboriginal NPWS guide, this interactive session explores traditional hunting and collecting practices used to source food and resources from coastal and bush environments. Through guided activities and demonstrations, you’ll learn how Aboriginal people used their deep knowledge of the landscape to sustainably gather, hunt and care for Country.
Explore the coastal farm, bushland and nearby shoreline as you’re introduced to tools, techniques and seasonal practices. You’ll learn to identify bush tucker, understand animal habitats and how resources were used in everyday life.
This experience offers a deeper understanding of the connection between land, sea and culture. It’s a special way to appreciate knowledge that has been passed down through generations.
