This relaxed weaving workshop is set among coastal forest and just moments from the sands of Pretty Beach. You’ll be introduced to Aboriginal culture and traditional weaving practices by an Aboriginal NPWS guide.
Learn how Aboriginal women have traditionally crafted baskets, carry bags and other everyday items while connecting to Country and the coastal environment.
As you work with grasses and reeds across the 2-hour class, your guide will share insights into the cultural significance of weaving and its importance for Aboriginal women. All materials are provided on the day, and you’ll create your own woven piece to take home.
