Compliance notices
A compliance notice may be issued if you visit certain NSW national parks, such as Royal National Park, without a valid vehicle day pass or relevant annual pass.

If you've been issued with a compliance notice or penalty infringement notice, it must be paid in accordance with the instructions provided on the notice.
Please note compliance notices issued at the following parks can be paid online using your credit card:
Sydney:
- Royal National Park
- Kamay Botany Bay National Park
- Georges River National Park
- Bents Basin State Conservation Area
- Cattai National Park
Kosciuszko:
- Kosciuszko National Park
Please note, there are no refunds once payment is submitted.
As daily vehicle entry fees are charged at 45 of the more than 890 parks and reserves managed by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, to avoid a compliance notice or penalty infringement notice you should check which parks require a pass before you travel.
Compliance notices cannot be upgraded to an annual pass.

Infringements
Once a compliance notice is escalated to an infringement notice, the matter is managed by Revenue NSW.
Your options are:
- Pay the infringement notice.
- Request a review.
- Have the penalty decided in court.
You can request a review if:
- you believe there has been a mistake in issuing the penalty notice, or
- there are other reasons that contributed to the offence.
