Overview
Ruined Castle campground is a remote, walk-in campground for experienced hikers. Access it via Ruined Castle walking track.
This small camping spot is located just below Ruined Castle. The most popular route to get there is a 4km walk along Ruined Castle waking track via the Golden Stairs. Once you arrive at the campground, there is a short walk to the top of Ruined Castle where you will be treated with stunning views of the Jamison Valley, Mount Solitary and the Narrowneck Peninsula.
There is a non-flush toilet. Water is not available.
Bookings are not required for this campground.
It's a good idea to let someone know where you're going. Fill in a trip intention form to send important details about your trip to your emergency contact. Hire a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) for free at Blue Mountains Heritage Centre in Blackheath.
