The Bank Room

The Bank Room is in Yerranderie Regional Park. To get there:

• Start at Oberon on Edith Road, then turn right after 8km onto Butter Factory Lane, which turns into Shooters Hill Road.
• Turn left onto Mount Werong Road (also known as Colong-Oberon Historic Stock Route) and follow this unsealed road past Mount Werong campground.
• Continue all the way along the crest of Murruin Range to Yerranderie Private Town. Stay on the main track and follow the signs.

You can only access The Bank Room from the Oberon-Colong Historic Stock Route. There is no access from Sydney (Oakdale).

• Protected water catchment areas prevent any access via the Burragong Valley, Picton and Oakdale. This is to protect Sydney's water quality.
• Online maps and GPS navigation devices do not show the right directions. Make sure you program Oberon as your initial destination, then Yerranderie Private Town.

Parking is available at The Bank Room.

• 1 king single bed and 1 king single double bunk bed.
• Pillows and blankets are provided.
• There are no rubbish bins, take all rubbish with you.

Electric power

Yerranderie is entirely off grid and powered by solar panels. This means that there is just enough power for all essential electronics. Please don’t plug in any appliances that are not provided in your accommodation (hairdryers, toasters, kettles etc.). This can draw too much power from the power grid, leading to blackouts.

Only use the power points to charge phones, laptops or to use the provided appliances.

The facilities block is shared with campers and includes:

• 1 male toilet and shower
• 1 female toilet and shower
• A camp kitchen with a sink, gas hotplates, grill and oven.

Disability access level - no wheelchair access

• The area is mostly gravel and dirt with stepped verandahs at the front of all buildings.
• There is one step to enter The Bank Room. The kitchen is accessible from the cottage, with no steps. However, there is not a lot of space.
• The bathroom, toilets and showers are small and not wheelchair-accessible.
• There are accessible doorways at least 850mm wide with lever handles.
• There is space for a wheelchair to move around the bed.
